Sela's archaeological conservation approach emphasizes active community engagement and capacity building. Through on-the-job training, Sela equips local community members with essential skills in archaeological excavation, documentation, site presentation, and conservation. This hands-on involvement empowers communities to play a central role in preserving their heritage. Sela also offers internship programs for university students in collaboration with Jordanian and international university. A notable example is the partnership with the University of Liverpool in Dhiban, where Sela trained 19 community members and involved university students in designing site signage, conducting community mapping projects, and organized cultural festivals to celebrate the site's archaeological significance.
